Several cultures have traditions that center around making this season cozy, warm, and inviting, and on spending the time nurturing family relationships and friendships that otherwise get lost in the hustle and bustle of  year end activity.

Melissa Sinclair will lead through a short discussion followed by activities to help us practice this important part of life when we take down the stress and find comfort in good company, hot drinks, and engaging activities.

You are highly encouraged to bring a pair of slippers, a warm blanket, as well as your knitting, a cozy book, a puzzle, drawing materials, etc. 

There will be collection of puzzles, adult coloring books, and simple crafts to do if you don't having anything to work on during platform or if you want to try something new to feel cozy.

This will be an hybrid meeting, however, this will be a much fuller experience if you can attend in person.

Let’s have some fun playing topical trivia and discuss the bigger issues behind them for our Sunday, Zoom platform led by Jim Ball. We will also take some time to collectively generate ethical actions that we as a group can take.

Dark Money, Dark Democracy

The currents and ideologies in American politics today have their roots in the past.  Persistent work by forces antithetical to democracy have gradually risen to power.  What are these forces?  Where did they originate? Who are the major influencers and organizations corrupting our democracy?  I will identify the anti-democratic ideas, who the actors are, who is funding them, and what are their ultimate goals.  I will outline ways to resist this threat to our democracy.
