Randy Best is the Leader of the Northern Virginia Ethical Society. Randy is the third Leader this Society has had in its 40-year history. Randy previously was the Leader of the Ethical Humanist Society of the Triangle, located in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, where he served for eight years. Randy was certified as an Ethical Culture Leader in 2004. Randy has also worked with the Ethical Society of Austin and the Ethical Society of St. Louis, where he served as a Leader Intern. Randy has held various positions with the American Ethical Union, including four years as President of the National Leaders Council. In his non-Ethical Culture life, Randy has had extensive experience in administrative and financial management with Duke University, and the transit systems of Raleigh, North Carolina and New York City. | Kristen Hayden is the Director of Ethical Education. Kristen is a Maryland native who moved to Virginia in 2011. She is grateful that she has found a community in NoVES and for the opportunity to serve that community as the Director of Ethical Education. She attends NoVES with her 5-year-old daughter, Josie. Outside of NoVES, Kristen works in learning & development, focusing on adult learners. She holds a MS.Ed from Purdue University in Learning Design & Technology and is looking forward to applying her experience and expertise to our Sunday School program.
